What is the purpose of this role?

This water utilities company based in the Thames Valley is looking for a Digital Channel Specialist reporting to the Communications & Engagement Workstream Lead, to support the delivery and execution of the project Spring Communications and Engagement strategy and plan. You will be responsible for managing Spring Programme related content for the company's internal digital channels: Email, Yammer/My Guide and Bluebytes.

What will this role involve?

Alongside the Communications & Engagement Specialist, create targeted, engaging content and campaigns that are both pro-active and reactive.

Support the Communications & Engagement team in delivering the Communications and Engagement programme such as multimedia visual campaigns and events.

What skills are we looking for?

You will manage activity on internal digital channels eg Yammer, and Thames Water's intranets: My Guide and BlueBytes

You will create both proactive and reactive content in line with the Communications & Engagement Programme

You will suggest and implement engaging content to support campaigns such as competitions, polls, forums across the digital channels

You will manage content on behalf of the Programme Director, making suggestions to raise their profile as well as the Spring Programme - including Blogs, Q&As etc.

You will support the Programme (project Spring Workstream Leads) in making the best use out of Yammer and its tools to engage with Stakeholders - including reporting, sharing content etc.

You will report and evaluate the effectiveness of the digital channels in taking audience groups through change

You will be known to have extensive experience in managing multi-media content on social media, in particular internal digital channels like Yammer as well as websites/intranets, such as film and visual campaigns

You will be known to have excellent communication skills - both verbal and written with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels across The business

You will have numerous years' experience working in a similar role within a Marketing Communications team

You will be known to be a strong copywriter with Intermediate user experience of Creative Cloud Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

You will be self-reliant, working to own initiative ad have the ability to work to tight deadlines, and to work under pressure

You will be educated to a degree level in Communications and Marketing or similar field

You will have previous experience in communications activities in an operational contact centre environment in Water & Sewage organisation or Utilities.
