The role:

As a Business Analyst you will be heavily involved in assisting the delivery of numerous projects within the Financial Crime division of a top tier investment bank. This division are renowned for pioneering the techniques and technology that protects both the business and their customers.

The successful candidates will be responsible for the identification, analysis and implementation of new requirements to be used by the global Financial Crime division that will allow them to access huge data sets (tens of billions of records) using Python, SAS, HADOOP, R Matlab and Jupyter. This means that the successful candidate will be technically minded working closely with the technology departments and experience using a Hadoop platform that serves a vast number of analysts and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements:

To identify and push the delivery for enhancements of the Financial Crime Technology Suite to improve global efficiency and effectiveness

Must be able to develop a strong understanding of highly complex tools including analytics, data feeds, network analysis and algorithmic scoring models

Have a broad understanding of the banking sectors including the financial crime and threat mitigation risk that is associated with them

Understanding of at least one of the following languages; Python, SAS, R, Matlab

The ability to use SQL where necessary

Working knowledge of Hadoop, a cloud platform for data analysis or another modern analytics platform used in large scales.
